Mini Mode Inspires… A Parents Survival Guide when self-isolating
April 9, 2020

Mini Moder’s – it’s Easter this weekend.

Many of us take this opportunity to spend it with family but unfortunately, things are a little different this year. But for those of you who are currently at home with your kids, we thought we’d share a few ideas on what you can do with them this weekend to still make it fun.

Decorating Eggs

This is a fab video about decorating eggs and a little about the history too.

Organise an egg hunt

Whether you live in a flat, house or have a garden…. Staging a little egg hunt in your house can be a fun activity for the family to take part on. Just make sure to remember where they all are if you’re doing this in the house so you don’t end up finding them a few months time hidden away in a too-good hiding spot.

Facetime your family

It could be nice to organise a video call with loved ones – and perhaps if the kids are old enough, with their friends. Take a moment to reconnect and support one another – particularly to those family members who are perhaps self-isolating alone.

Do some baking

If you’ve picked up lots of chocolate to celebrate – why not use some of that and make something delicious with the kids for Easter such as chocolate nests or brownies.

This will be a fun activity for you to enjoy together as well as a way to use some of the chocolate!

Stay safe everyone and stay home.
